Welcome to my home page. My name is Jelizaveta (Liza) I live in Riga, Latvia and I hope you will take time to visit my Portfolio. I am a young painter with a passion for the outdoors, indoors and the environment I grew up in Latvia. I love painting and art as it gives me an opportunity to study and thoroughly enjoy my surroundings, to observe the lay of the land and nature.

Mixing colors and matching them to the pannorama that constantly changes with the sun's light is always a fascinating challenge. When I am painting, I use my own photo references for inspiration. Peaceful hillsides, hand-worked gardens, places where people go to spend time and relax, and the paths that lead beyond are the things that inspire me to paint. I approach painting with attention to light, shadow, and color. Always evolving as an artist, my observations of life and my environment are expressed in my work.
